      • ProLiteracy:  ProLiteracy was born in 2002 when the organizations Laubach Literacy International and Literacy Volunteers of America merged. Their mission is to champion the power of literacy to improve the lives of adults and their families, communities and societies.

         
      • Secretary of State Literacy OfficeThe mission of Secretary White's Literacy Office is to enable agencies in Illinois to offer services to help Illinois adults and their families who read at the lowest levels to increase their reading ability in English.

       

      • Adult Learning Resource Center(ALRC): The Illinois ALRC provides referral services for students, volunteers, and employers wishing to access adult education and literacy programs throughout Illinois.

       

      • Central Illinois Service Center: CIAESC delivers staff development to Community College and Public School Adult Education programs, Community Based Organizations, Eventstart, ESL, Family Literacy Programs, Regional Offices of Education, Department of Education programs and other entities related to adult education.

      • Learning ESL: Wealth of resources for children and adults learning English as a Second Language.

       

      • English Worksheets Land: This inventory of worksheets is geared primarily for children K-8. It aligns with the Common Core Curriculum Standards. The materials are created to directly assist teachers and students in meeting the Language Arts Common Core Standards.

       

      • Chicago Public Library's Digital Learn: This is an online tool to help students learn how to use a computer and navigate the internet. Courses on essential digital knowledge, such as how to use a search engine, create an email account, and use Microsoft Word are offered in plain language in both video and text format.
